The top is ground and polished with gold gilt that is slightly worn off, the sides have hand painted flowers over gold enamel surrounded in scrolled art enamel. Toward the bottom there is more gold with scroll work surrounding it and hand painted flower decor. The bottom has felt protective feet on it to prevent scratching on the bottom.
