The vase has a frosted, semitransparent yellow ground which is beautifully decorated with a spray of white cut to red cameo flowers. The back is decorated with two lovely signature Webb butterflies, the neck is decorated with a band of stylized bell flowers. It has a neatly polished pontil on the bottom side which is properly signed with the Thos. Webb & Sons Cameo factory circular mark. It measures a large 9.6. Tall, an impressive size for displaying. Upon close inspection, there is a small rub on the bottom edge of foot which appears to be original to the piece and a couple tiny flea nicks to the inside edge of top rim which are most likely from the factory polishing process. A fantastic example of early Thomas Webb Glass! – – – – -.
