Beautiful ORIENT & FLUME Etched Art Glass Vase by DAN SHURA Signed & Dated 1982

Welcome To The Antique Cabinet. For your consideration is a ORIENT & FLUME Etched Art Glass Vase by artist Dan Shura, circa 1982. Located in California, Orient and Flume Art Glass was founded in 1972. This unusual piece was executed by renowned scrimshaw carver and artist, Dan Shura. He worked at Orient & Flume from the late 1970s to the early 1980s, primarily doing paperweights along with a few vases. This is a wonderful example of his work, with beautiful color and iridescence along with two absolutely mesmerizing etched designs on each side. 7 tall x 3½ wide, is artist signed Dan Shura on the side, and marked on the bottom with Orient + Flume 1982 G 9 CV. A wonderful piece of vintage American Art Glass! – – – – -. Full Mark Orient & Flume IRIS VASE Signed Ed Alexander RARE American Art Glass

This lovely Iris Vase has the full Orient & Flume mark (indicating top quality) as opposed to the O&S mark which indicates a second. It was also signed by the gifted artist, Ed Alexander who has been long retired which of course make his pieces rather rare. There is no damage whatsoever to this beauty save very light scuffing on the bottom which is to be expected. The vase stands about 6 inches tall and has a maximum diameter of a little over 4 inches.
