It is signed on the edge of the base. From the artist’s website. Professor David Keens established and currently heads the Glass Program at The University of Texas at Arlington. He has been awarded the University’s highest Award for Distinguished Record of Creative Activity and inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Scholars, and has received a National Endowment of the Arts Full Individual Craftsman Fellowship. David’s artwork has been exhibited in major museums in Austria, Belgium, England, Finland, Germany, Holland, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Turkey and the Philippines. David has exhibited throughout the United States, including such prestigious venues as the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute, the Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC, the Phoenix, Minnesota, and Dallas Art Museums, the Contemporary Crafts Museums in Houston, New York City, and over 100 other national invitational exhibitions and solo exhibitions at museums around the country. David has completed major architectural installations in both public and private venues and his work is included in a number of significant museum and private collections such as the National Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto, Japan, Museum of New Mexico in Santa Fe, as well as the ARCO and American Airlines Corporate collections.
