The iridescent colours are just mesmerizing – the pulled feather design to the body of the vase is in the peacock eye fashion – a rare piece with vivid cranberry and gorgeous gold and teal highlights. Vase is in mint condition – no chips cracks scratches or repairs. Vase is etch signed and dated on bottom (see photo). This is a BEAUTIFUL Vase! The photos don’t do it justice! MCM Vicke Lindstrand KOSTA Large Purple Grass Vase Signed Model 1021 AS IS

Beautiful Vicke Lindstrand clear blown glass vase with purple strands rising up from the base. 1021 with Lindstrand Kosta mark as well. Approximately 14.5″ tall and 5.5″ wide at widest point. There are some scratches, some roughness/nicks to one small section of underside of base, and one tiny nick to side of vase. Rim of vase has no chips. The largest scratch appears as almost a rub mark on one side and is located 6.5″ from base in the shape of an upside down “U. The tiny nick is 4.5″ from top on another side and is about 1/8″. There is a light scratch to the right of that runs vertically. All that being said, vase still displays well, this is wear that is mostly seen upon close examination. Biography Victor Emanuel Lindstrand, known as Vicke Lindstrand (27 November 1904 in Gothenburg – 7 May 1983 in Kosta) was a Swedish glass designer, textile and ceramic designer, and painter. He is considered a pioneer of Swedish glass art. His work was part of the art competitions at the 1932 Summer Olympics and the 1936 Summer Olympics.
