Famous for her cameo work in glass from Pilgrim, Fenton, and her own studio, Kelsey Murphy has created a place for herself in the history of glassmaking. It is #701703 and is a unique work. It is signed by both Kelsey and Bomkamp and features a Wolf howling at the moon in the woods, with an owl nearby. This particular vase bears the distinction of being one of the few pieces Kelsey created with the metallic “Favrene” glass which was then cameo cut to produce the design. Extremely rare and desirable, her work is becoming harder to find every day as her pieces disappear into collections. In 2007 Kelsey designed for Fenton a limited edition run of Favrene vases called “Peacock Feathers” in an edition of 750.
