The vase features satin-finished nude nymphs set amongst a series of lines resembling waves, making it appear that they are swimming or bathing in the water. The walls of the piece are thick and enhance the rippling visual effect created by the waves, imparting the piece with motion. “Ondines” was Designed by Marc Lalique, René Lalique’s Son, and Released in 1952.
