Rare MOSER Art Deco VASE Uranium Glass SIGNED 1920’s Josef Hoffmann

By 20th C Pioneering designer Josef Hoffmann a secessionist movement piece made by MOSER KARLSBAD ca 1920. A Beautiful and important “Annagruen : the Yellowish-green Uranium glass” vase designed by one of the pioneering designers of the secessionist movement Josef Hoffmann, made with Moser of Karlsbad in Czechoslovak Circa 1920s. 8″ H x 5 1/2″ W x 4 W Octagon shaped Base. Wonderful sharp facet cutting in a scalloped edged Fan Art Deco form: An unusual pioneering design by Hoffmann, we have not found anywhere else signed and made by from Moser KARLSBAD. The glass vase is mouth blown and hand cut with a polished flat base. The vase is in superb condition, there is a spec of wood ash in the bottom of base from being hand blown and slight scuffing to base as expected for this 1920’s era vase. We note one flea bite on the rim of the base, see images provided, which could be polished out by a professional glass restorer. ANTIQUE CONDITION is near MINT 9.5/10. DURAND signed -1920’s Gold Threaded HEARTS & VINES American made ART GLASS VASE

Durand Art Glass was produced by Vineland Flint Glassworks owned by Mr. And his father founded the Vineland Flint Glass Works in 1897 in Vineland, New Jersey. Made in the United States… Victor Durand started this line during their’artistic glass’ period in 1924 and produced until 1931…. This american made Durand vase has gold and blue iridescent heart design against a cream colored background and iridescent yellow interior… The Durand vase is finished with random applied gold iridescent threading. Has polished pontil and hand incised Durand on the underside in silver aluminum color…. This vase measures 10 inches tall top rim diameter is 3 inches, Base rim diameter is 3.5 inches.. Due to age and previous ownership, light signs of previous use needs to be taken into consideration – Threading is in outstanding condition with very very minor loss of the gold threading, overall condition is outstanding and original… Any other imperfections would be craft related only. Tend to find more of the Durand Vases with losses which you will find in many durand vases with attached threading… Nash, and Victor Durand – went out on his own to create some of the finest circa early 1900’s American Art Glass ever made… Durand art glass received the Medal of Honor at the Sesquicentennial International Exposition in Philadelphia in 1926. Many Durand pieces were not signed, especially the early wares. They were marked with silver and black paper labels, which usually wore away over time leaving the pieces unmarked today.. Some had a hand incised marked reading only Durand. ” Sometimes the brand was accompanied by a large “V and numbers indicating the shape number and height of the piece. Most of these engraved marks were traced with an aluminum pencil giving the lettering a silver appearance. Just re-package in its original packaging materials, box and insured (or similar in size).. The items I sell are vintage, antique pieces and have been previously owned – these are not new store bought items… I also do my best to give detailed information on the vintage items. The magnificent opalescent cased glass with Cabochons Berries – a very attractive vase. Bold design of cabochons in bands. The bulbous vessel is pressed moulded in high relief featuring a strong Art-Deco design style. Multiple ribbed panels separated by leaves & berries. Vase is signed at the base “MADE IN FRANCE”. And also signed VERLYS, please see images. Great example with thick heavy walls, strong and well defined moulding in a blowing opalescent cased white glass. LARGE IMPRESSIVE SIZE: 10. Quezal Art Glass Blue Lustre Tall Lidded Urn or Vase ca 1920s

This is a tall lidded jar / urn or vase in Blue Lustre that was made by the Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company of Brooklyn, NY. Quezal was the first serious competition for Louis Comfort Tiffany in the field of blown artistic glass in America. The founders, Martin Bach Sr. And Thomas Johnston both departed their employment with Tiffany in 1901. Bach had been Tiffany’s lead chemist and Thomas was a skilled glass blower. The company was in operation from 1902 until ceasing art glass production in 1924. The jar stands 11-3/8″ (28.9 cm) tall lidded and has a 3-3/4″ (9.5 cm) diameter foot. It is 3-7/8 (9.8 cm) in diameter at the mouth. The piece is excellent condition without chips, flea bites, scratches, or staining. It is signed in the center of the pontil grinding “Quezal” in the manner used during later production, likely 1920s. And you are interested in this item. You may view our other items.
