Etched on the underside of this vase is Orrefors (maker) NU (designer + glass type) 3538/7 (production year/number). Although we are 65 years on from when this vase was produced, many today still crave the same minimal clean Modernist design, quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship featured here. The fact this vase is still in excellent condition in 2020 and could easily slide into a contemporary setting, does say a lot about the designer and maker. This is a more elongated example of one of the less common forms available from the Dusk series collection. It measures 25cm high and is made of solid handblown clear glass that encases an olive underlay.
