A VERY RARE LAGUNA VASE BY FULVIO BIANCONI, Made by VENINI of Murano ITALY. Circa early 1950’s. The Laguna technique was a Lattimo layer of Glass sandwiched between 2 layers of coloured glass that was developed by Tomaso Buzzi in the early 1930’s. This vase bears the 3 line Venini Murano Italia, acid etched signature that was in use between 1945 – 1965. 275mm x 120mm x 150mm, Height x Top Diameter x Bottom Diameter. It should be noted that a similar vase with 7 lobes and designed in the early 1950’s was attributed to Paulo Venini. That particular example was executed in a single layer of glass and in a richer darker red colour. That particular vase (possibly unique) is to be Auctioned in Switzerland, on September 20th, 2018.
