Vandermark Pulled Feather Glass Vase Fan Shape Doug Merritt Stephen Smarr signed

Vandermark Studio art glass pulled feather fan style vase. Beautiful pulled feather design with many earthy colors. Signed to base and dated 1977. Tall X 8 wide. Signed DM SS and numbered to base. SM is Stephen Smarr. This is a beautiful iridescent golden yellow and darker gold and creamy white with hints of iridescent reds and oranges and even some hints of aubergine. The pulled feather pattern is featured in a unique rounded Art Deco style swirl. Most pulled feather designs are in straighter vertical patterns. Designer Doug Merritt joined Jerry Vandermark in 1972 in New Jersey when it became Vandermark-Merritt studios. They also worked with glass blower Stephen Smarr. In the 1980s, the team was featured in the Art Glass Society Journal and in 1999 achieved a listing in Who’s Who in America. This piece was crafted in their very early years together, so it has excellent value. Looks like something designed for the 1920s! This pendant is 26.38″ (67 cm) high with the chain, the lamp itself is 7.87″ (20 cm) high and approximately 8.66(22 cm) diam. The opening is 4.72(12 cm). Wonderful ART NOUVEAU French Art Glass ovoid shape VASE, decorated with several birch trees and ground sprinkled with snow. Signed Daum Nancy with the Cross of Lorraine. Tall 4 7/8 inches (12.5 cm). Max Length 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Max Width 3 1/8 inches (8 cm). Condition: Beautiful as pictured. It has some little chips around the top border and base , marked in pictures. Daum Pate De Verre Herbier Nature Vase 8.9 Tall New Trumpet Shape Signed Nice

This is a Daum Herbier Pate de Verre vase from the 1988 Nature Series. The Pate de Verre base is a lovely gray green color with touches of amethyst toward the top edges of the base. The bowl of the vase is sparkling clear French Crystal. Approximate Dimensions: 8.9 inches tall, 3.5 inch diameter at the top. This piece was hand made in Daums Nancy France workshops by skilled artisans using Pate de Verre technology. In this process, tiny glass beads of various colors are placed into a mold and kiln fired for ten days at a controlled temperature. The beads are metled together forming a solid piece of crystal with color variations. Pate de Verre items are not transparent or shiny like clear crystal. The surface is rougher and there are little bubbles trapped inside. Every piece is unique, no two Daum crystals are exactly alike. Though the shape is the same, there are color variations from piece to piece. There are some very beautiful crystal art objects produced in Pate de Verre. Since 1878 Daum Crystal has been the ultimate in luxury. This vase is in excellent condition. We found no scratches, scuffs, bruises, chips, or defects. All photos are of the actual item listed here (no stock photos). Their inventory has been warehoused ever since. We do not have the original Daum box.
