Signed Steuben Gold Aurene Art Glass Lidded Vase or Jar Nouveau Deco NO RESERVE

Fantastic Steuben Iridescent Gold Aurene shape lidded vase or jar. Stunning coloration with pinkish hues and deep coloration the knob is almost blue. Highly desirable and hard to find. In my estimation as good as Tiffany Favrile (if not better :). Note: This is the exact piece in Carder Steuben Club database. Search for Carder Steuben Club and then input 3154 in the shape search field. I have included the photo that I submitted in mine so you can compare. This site is extremely valuable to collectors and sellers. If you run across a piece they don’t have photo documentation of, like I have a few times, you should submit it. Documenting the work is a collective effort! Dimensions: 6″ tall by about 5″ wide. One small flake on the rim of the lid (see photo) oretty typical wear for a jar. I see no flaws and there is even barely any wear the lid sits on the bottom. This will go out at 4-5 pounds and rate generated by calculator. SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS. Quezal Art Glass Blue Lustre Tall Lidded Urn or Vase ca 1920s

This is a tall lidded jar / urn or vase in Blue Lustre that was made by the Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company of Brooklyn, NY. Quezal was the first serious competition for Louis Comfort Tiffany in the field of blown artistic glass in America. The founders, Martin Bach Sr. And Thomas Johnston both departed their employment with Tiffany in 1901. Bach had been Tiffany’s lead chemist and Thomas was a skilled glass blower. The company was in operation from 1902 until ceasing art glass production in 1924. The jar stands 11-3/8″ (28.9 cm) tall lidded and has a 3-3/4″ (9.5 cm) diameter foot. It is 3-7/8 (9.8 cm) in diameter at the mouth. The piece is excellent condition without chips, flea bites, scratches, or staining. It is signed in the center of the pontil grinding “Quezal” in the manner used during later production, likely 1920s. And you are interested in this item. You may view our other items.
