This is a Sanyu art glass vase made in 1961- signed and date-lined with an etched backstamp. The designed is a semi-translucent textured amethyst glass finish and features a cobalt reticular vein threading pattern overlay The production technique used is hand-blown glass, and the style is Art Deco. Pictures (not altered) were taken before and during sunset to show how the glass responds to lighting – paler hues to more dynamic. It’s a truly stunning piece, adapting to the lighting source for a desired outcome. Tched on side (last photo). Pictures are better than words and provided clear photos. This gorgeous reptilian style vase was made and signed in 1997. Signed on the bottom “Dan Enwright 1997″. Weighs 2lbs 7oz. 3 diameter on top. 5 diameter at the widest part of the body. Enwright was an established stained glass artist before finding hot glass. Working alongside Tom Philabaum for over 20 years, Dan is not only a skilled glass blower, but our go-to guy for everything mechanical.
